Activities / Routes
The following are our suggestion of five different walking excursions, which begin at the masía. The duration given for each is approximate, depending on the pace undertaken by the individual.
A. Abejas (900m - 30min): a beautiful walk around the fields surrounding the house, where you can see the bee hives, which provide us with such delicious honey. In spring time the fields are dotted with poppies, creating a spectacular sea of flowers.
B. Carena de la Obaga Negra (2.60Km - 45min): walk through the pine trees, keeping to the same path and you can’t go wrong.
C. Solana de La Garriga (2.80Km - 1h): a walk through la solana, a really luminous path, and with an interesting view over the masía on the way back.
D. Torrent de la Plana (4.20Km - 1h 30min): a more complete hike, through the pine trees to the north of the masía. If you stay attentive, you may be lucky enough to wander across a family of deer.
E. Samunta (6Km - 2h): walk down to the Hortons and up to the Samunta houses. You’ll find an old olive oil mill, and a goat farm, and discover the real life of the countryside.
At the reception of the hotel we will give you a map so that you can enjoy the routes easily. You can also download the routes using the App Wikiloc (see link):

El Pla de Bages and its wines
El Pla de Bages is a particularly privileged area. The soil and climate of the area produce a fresh wine with a pleasant depth and capacity to age.
All the cellars in the Bages region have their own vineyards, and as such, the region offers a wide and varied expression of its land, as well as the people who work it.
One of the unique characteristics of the Bages region are its wine vats and barrels: dried stone constructions, which were necessary for the farmers during their ongoing work in the fields, to store their agricultural tools, or shelter from the harsh and changeable climate.
